Join Friends of Latin America and the Columbia United Christian Church in commemorating Rev. Lucius Walker’s historic 1992 Caravan to Cuba? Featuring guest speakers:

Gail Walker has worked with IFCO from 1987 to 2002 as the Communications Director and co-led the 1988 IFCO delegation to Nicaragua that resulted in the formation of the Pastors for Peace project. Through Pastors for Peace, citizens are offered the opportunity to enact an alternative people-to-people foreign policy rooted in justice and mutual respect. Since 2011 Gail has been IFCO’s Director.

Dorlimar Lebrón Malavé was born in Puerto Rico and was raised in New York. As sociologist and a Liberation Theologian, both her lived and academic experiences have equipped her with the tools to think theologically and sociologically about the ways in which communities, particularly communities of color, undocumented communities and poor communities suffer systemic oppression and moral injury, domestically and abroad. She is IFCO’s Associate Director.
